We were asked to take a portion of a 19th century barn and convert it into gallery space for an artist who has a studio upstairs.
There were numerous challenges as the barn was structurally unstable.
The photos above depict what we had to start with. Notice the last two pictures and how the post and beams were pulling apart
The interior walls are going up as well as some of the structural steel. That's Craig Gilbert of North East Housewrights who did much of the metal work.
