Hackmatack Deck
(wood also known as Tamarack)

Hackmatack is a non-poisonous wood that grows in the Northern forests of Maine
It does not splinter as Pressure Treated does and is more durable
It can be painted, stained or left to age to a silver grey color

This particular project used Hackmatack for the sub-structure and decking
The railing was constructed from Red Cedar and copper tubing

Everything was screwed together for strength

The deck is 65 feet long and overlooks the Presumpscot River
