This is a follow up to my earlier post regarding Crypto.com locking me out of my account because they made a mistake, by paying a flat currency withdrawal twice.
In total my account was locked for 7 days, I had to chase them daily and the best I got was an email informing me that they were busy and if it was important I should email them again. this was obviously important
In total I sent them 7-8 emails, each one confirming I'd sent their money back and that I was still locked out of my account, I also asked them to compensate me for the inconvenience and their negligence.Their customer service is obviously overwhelmed and incompentent at the same time, but at least they highly apologies.
I was lucky as I don't have that much in my Crypto account, I doubt I would have slept very well over the past week if I had say £40K invested.
Be warned - I am not saying this company is dishonest or fraudulent. They just seem overwhelmed at the moment, I'd recommend keeping your Crypto securely in a browser wallet or better still a cold wallet.
But DO NOT leave more than a few ££ in your Crypto.com account.
